I have dedicated my life to service, first to my country and then to my community.
I enlisted in the U.S. Army at 18 and served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician, rising to the rank of Sergeant. That experience shaped who I am. It taught me discipline, accountability, and how to make decisions under pressure, lessons I continue to carry with me.
After my military service, I spent more than 25 years with the Florida Department of Children and Families, working to strengthen families and support some of the most vulnerable members of our community. My work focused on child welfare, community programs, and helping families navigate difficult circumstances. It gave me a deep understanding of the real challenges people face every day.
In 2011, I was elected to the Sebastian City Council. Since then, I have had the honor of serving multiple terms as a Councilmember, as Mayor, and now as Vice Mayor. Throughout that time, I have focused on listening to residents, working across differences, and delivering practical results.
I have worked to protect the Indian River Lagoon, support responsible infrastructure improvements such as septic to sewer conversions, maintain disciplined budgets to keep taxes reasonable, and strengthen public safety. I have also served for more than 15 years on the Metropolitan Planning Organization, helping guide regional transportation and infrastructure decisions.
I am a husband, a father of four, and a long-time resident who enjoys everything that makes this community special, including our waterways, our neighborhoods, and our shared sense of pride.
I am running for Indian River County Commission because I believe our community needs experienced and steady leadership. I have spent my life serving, and I am ready to continue that work at the county level.
